Rohit Sharma has solved the problem of the Test opener. Rohit Sharma in his debut match as a Test opener has played tremendously well. The player in the first Test match scored 303 runs. Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara, in the top order, also played well.

The middle-order has not played well in Visakhapatnam. Hanuma Vihari and Ajinkya Rahane in the first innings were out early. But Vihari’s and Rahane’s performance in the West Indies tour was outstanding so they can be the trusted player.

Talking about bowlers, Ravichandran Ashwin picked seven wickets in the first innings and Ravindra Jadeja picked four wickets in the second innings. The fifth day was good for the pacer Mohammed Shami as he scalped wickets in the second innings. So overall, the spinner and pacer combination proved beneficial for the team.

India will play with more confidence in the second Test match after registering their first victory.

Match Prediction

India has played only one Test match in Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium at Pune in 2017. India lost that Test match against Australia. But this time there are chances that India might win the Test matches.

This time India is playing with strong and experienced team members. Whereas South Africa team has no experience in that field and also playing with inexperienced players.
