India’s series against the West Indies in the home soil of India underwent a revision in the plans as there are noticeably been few changes with the capital city of New Delhi to be hosting the second One-Day International (ODI) on October 11th instead of one off the very few T20 matches which will now be hosted in Cuttack by the Orissa Cricket Association on October 22nd.
The World’s third largest cricket venue, namely Kolkata’s Eden Gardens, will be hosting the fifth One Day International (ODI), instead of the fourth one, on October 20th of the current year, instead of earlier October 17th. And on the other hand, while Kochi will be hosting the opening ODI of the five-match ODI series, Vishakhapatnam and Dharamshala, according to the reports, will be hosting the third and fourth ODIs respectively.
If reports published off recently are to be paid heed off, then the West Indies team will be playing two warm up one day games in Mumbai at the very beginning of the tour and will also be playing a three day first-class match against the Board President’s XI in Kanpur, starting from October 25th to 27th, and being ahead of the Test series that starts on October 30th.
According to the Board’s plans, there will be five One Day International (ODI) matches to be held between India and West Indies from October 8th to October 20th. There will also be three Test matches to be played between the two teams, the first one ranging from October 30th to November 3rd. The second test will be held from November 7th to November 11th, and the third test match to be held between them from November 15th to November 19th.
