India vs Windies 2018, Fifth ODI – Statistical Preview

India will be looking to end the ODI series on a high when they take on Windies in the fifth and final game on Thursday. The hosts already have an unassailable 2-1 lead in the series and will be looking to win the series in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Men in Blue bounced back in style in the fourth ODI after being shocked by 43 runs in the third. Riding on centuries from Ambati Rayudu and Rohit Sharma, the Virat Kohli-led side had posted a mammoth 377 for 5. The bowlers then joined the party and bowled out the high-flying Windies for just 153 to hand the team a massive 224-run win.

So as the teams gear up for the crucial game, here is a look at some of the important numbers:

1. The upcoming game will be the first ODI as well as List A game at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. So far this stadium has only hosted a T20I match which was between the hosts and New Zealand last year.

2. When it comes to winning first ODI at any venue, the Men in Blue have ended up on the winning side 20 times out of 43.

3. Virat Kohli has won all the tosses so far in the series. If he manages to win another, he will become the first Indian captain to win all 5 tosses in a home bilateral series. So far, Mohammad Azharuddin, Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni have all the tosses in a five-match bilateral series but all the three did it outside India.

4. MS Dhoni just needs 1 more runt to complete 10,000 runs for India. The former India skipper has 10173 runs in ODIs but scored 174 of those runs for Asia XI.

5. Dhoni is also short of just 51 runs from completing 1,000 runs against Windies in ODIs.

6. Bhuvneshwar Kumar needs just 2 more wickets to complete 100 wickets in ODIs.

7. Kuldeep Yadav needs 4 more wickets to become the highest wicket taking bowler in 2018.
