Top Five Indian Batsmen With Maximum Strike Rate From Overs  40 To 50

Finishing the innings on a high is key to success in the ODI matches for a batsman. A batsman tries to get runs at a maximum strike rate in the last ten overs to post a challenging total. Similarly, a chasing team also backs itself to get to the target in the last ten overs. Thus, a batsman’s strike rate is always on the higher side if we take into account overs 40 to 50. The batters are always looking to deal in boundaries and go for the big shots to provide the finishing touches to their team.

4. Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar had an illustrious ODI career. The Master Blaster was consistent throughout his career and he is the highest run-getter in the ODI format. The talisman amassed 18426 runs in 463 ODI matches at an average of 44.83 and a strike rate of 86.24.

The linchpin, who achieved great success in his long career, scored his runs from overs 40-50 at a healthy strike rate of 139.02. Sachin mostly batted as an opener throughout his career and had a great record. Tendulkar scored 49 centuries in his ODI career.

3. Yusuf Pathan

India’s Yusuf Pathan was well known to his aggressive batting. Pathan had the skills to hit the ground running and he was able to impress one and all with his pyrotechnics in the maiden season of the Indian Premier League while playing for Rajasthan Royals.

Pathan played 57 ODI matches for the Indian team in which he scored 810 runs at an average of 27 and a strike rate of 113.6. In the last 11 overs, Pathan scored his runs at a staggering strike rate of 139.67 for the Indian team.

2. Virat Kohli

The current Indian captain Virat Kohli is the most consistent batsman ODI format. Kohli has scored runs in almost all the conditions and his record in the ODI version speaks volumes. The right-hander has a clear plan and he has delivered the goods on most of the occasions.

Kohli is the number one ODI batsman at the moment. The linchpin has scored 11867 runs in 248 matches at an average of 59.34 and a strike rate of 93.25. The Indian skipper has scored his runs at a whirlwind strike rate of 149.87 in the last 11 overs.

India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma is well known for scoring big knocks in the ODI format. The stylish batsman is the solitary batsman to score three double centuries in the 50-overs version. Rohit can change gears after going past 100 and he can get the boundaries at will.

The right-hander can demolish any attack if he gets going. The flamboyant batsman has scored 9115 runs in 224 ODI matches at an average of 49.27. In the last 11 overs, Rohit has a blistering strike rate of 150.93.
