The Trans-Tasman rivalry between Australia and New Zealand series has started today (Thursday) November 5 at Gabba in Brisbane.

The three-match Trans-Tasman Test series between Australia and New Zealand is one of the adorable cricket series in the world. So, Cricket Australia has sorted out a few new style of celebrations for special achievements, if Australia goes on to win the series.

Australia captain Steve Smith winning the toss opted to bat first. Australia got off to a brilliant start from the opening duo- David Warner and Joe Burns. They put a 161 runs for the first wicket before Tim Southee earned a breakthrough for New Zealand picking the wicket of Burns.

But, David Warner was unstoppable as the left-handed batsman has notched up his 13th Test century that put Australia in a comfortable position on the first day of the match. But, Warner missed out on a double hundred as he edged James Neesham to the slip cordon fielder Ross Taylor.

Even though, the Trans-Tasman rivalry is not as intense as Indian Pakistan, but both countries share a competitive sporting rivalry. From Trevor Chappell’s underarm delivery to the Rugby World Cup final Australia and New Zealand have indulged in many controversial and mouthwatering clashes.

Australia defeated New Zealand in the 2015 ICC World Cup final, but New Zealand recently got the revenge by defeating Australia in the Rugby World Cup final in England.

In the ICC Wolrd Cup final at MCG, Australia humilated New Zealand while the Aussies visiting the Kiwis at their home for a Pool A sensational low scoring match at Eden Park, Auckland lost the match by 1 wicket.

So, to add extra flavour to this rivalry Cricket Australia innovated some new style of celebrations. Unlike the Star Sports made “Mauka Mauka” ad that put the Indian subcontinent citizens into a virtual war on social media the Cricket Australia “Innovations of Celebrations” sponsored by Toyota is a funnier one.

The juries three Aussie legends – Steve Waugh, Glenn McGrath and Brett Lee – went through the presentation which is given by two candidate Steve and Dave approved it. They presented a few funnier style of celebrations for achievement in the match. For an example, an Australian batsman scored triple hundred, so how the batsman will celebrate it? Dave presented a new way that made Waugh and Lee to laugh.
