Both the teams have done extremely well so far in this ongoing edition which further saw other six teams trying their best on the field as we are heading into the final which literally has no advantage based on the home conditions. Wouldn’t it be that good to see both teams fighting for the glory?

However, getting to other teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore which practically failed to rise to the occasion while languishing at the bottom of the table followed by Gujarat Lions and Delhi Daredevils side which further boasted about their overseas players.

Interestingly, Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be playing his first IPL final as a player and seventh overall in the IPL history.

Rohit Sharma-led side has delivered crunch performances as the Blue brigade would be playing its fourth final to culminate the season with the thrilling final.

We are just hours away to witness, who is going to be the protagonist either with the bat and ball. On the flipside of the coin, one has to emerge as a villain, in the much-awaited contest which is the known tradition and eventually part and parcel in the game.

Mumbai Indians had been on a song as they can boast about their match winners with the likes of Kieron Pollard, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell McClenaghan and off late Karn Sharma.

While showing the presence of mind, Mumbai Indians bowlers ripped apart the batting line-up of formidable Kolkata Knight Riders as the Gautam Gambhir-led side was bundled out for 107.

Mumbai Indians claimed the match by six wickets while chasing down the target comfortably in 14.3 overs in order to make star entry into the final.

Ben Stokes, who had been instrumental with the bat and ball (left for home alongside South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who picked 18 wickets respectively before leaving International duties.

The costly buy of whooping 14.5 bagged 12 wickets and scored 316 runs in 12 matches which include a significant century against Gujarat Lions.

However, Pune has various players to give their best on the field, in a bid to get crowned as the champions of IPL 2017 against Mumbai Indians side which has topped the group stage with 20 points. And eventually, Supergiant proved the point that they are all-star performances playing as a unit.

Rising Pune Supergiant relied on a mixed start before gaining the momentum both with the bat and a ball before some remarkable fielding from the men rejuvenated the side, which further finished the group stage on the second number with 18 points.

Moreover, Mumbai Indians lost their first match against their nemesis Supergiant before making a remarkable comeback to win six matches on the trot.

Recently, in the first Qualifier, Supergiant eked a 20-run win against Mumbai Indians as they faltered at the fag end of the tournament.

Steven Smith-led side would be aiming to win their maiden IPL trophy on Sunday night, Mumbai Derby, as they have beaten the Mumbai-based outfit thrice in the ongoing edition.

For Supergiant Washington Sundar played a crucial role for the team particularly with the ball and he would aim to score some crucial runs with the bat.

Tracking The Strong Zone:

One could expect a valiant knock from experienced campaigner and wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni and his presence has been felt by skipper Smith himself while he got some sort of a help in one way or another during the tournament after latter was unceremoniously sacked from the captaincy.

For Supergiant, it has been Jaydev Unadkat, who brought much relief to the skipper while picking wickets at crucial junctures.

Talking about the strength, Supergiant bowlers has the capability to compensate for each other which include allrounder Daniel Christian Washington Sundar and leg-spinner Adam Zampa.

For Mumbai Indians, Parthiv Patel did well at the top and he would be eyeing to start off well alongside the West Indies opening batsman Lendl Simmons.

While getting the adequate support, Mumbai would be looking forward to seeing Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya giving their best during the final.

For Supergiant the threat would come in the form of Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell McClenaghan as both have given their best throughout the season. McClenaghan is likely to get his place back after injury.

He picked 19 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 26.68. Bumrah claimed 18 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 23.22.

There would be a toss-up between Karn Sharma and Harbhajan Singh, who had contained the opponent batsmen with his line and length, but the leg-spinner had a remarkable outing with the ball against Kolkata Knight Riders to see their side scripting history while reaching into the IPL final.

In batting Rising Pune Supergiant would rely on skipper Smith, who is the top scorer for the side with 421 runs in 14 matches followed by Rahul Tripathi, who scored 388 runs to make things easier for its bowlers.

However, to set the tempo, the top-order would play the crucial role between both the teams before bowlers would be trying to give their best to defend the respective total.

Talking About Prediction:

In a head-to-head contest, Rising Pune Supergiant has definitely an upper hand after winning four matches out of five matches. In the ninth edition, the record was tied to 1-1 before Supergiant claimed two wins in a group stage followed by a win in the first Qualifier.

We are expecting a cracker of a contest between two-abled teams which is further relying on their all batting and bowling department.

With Rohit Sharma facing Jaydev Unadkat and MS Dhoni taking on Jasprit Bumrah as it is going to be an exciting Sunday night clash which has definitely few trump cards on an offer.

Hyderabad is expected to be a high-scoring ground and team winning the toss would be opting to bowl first and we are further prediction the score around 180 on board.

Statistically, Supergiant has an advantage, but Mumbai Indians would definitely give a fight back while having the decent unit of a paper.

Coming to the conclusion, Supergiant team is highly likely going to lift their maiden IPL title in a closely fought encounter.
