The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 schedule has undergone a minor change due to the Municipal Elections in Delhi, scheduled for April 22.
As per the revised schedule, the afternoon match (4pm) in the capital, involving Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Mumbai Indians (MI), which was originally slated to be hosted at the Feroz Shah Kotla on April 22, has now been shifted to Mumbai and will be an evening game (8 pm). And the Delhi-based outfit will now host Mumbai on May 6.
On the other hand, owing to the change in Delhi’s home game, the match between Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Pune has been preponed and will be played from 4 pm instead of 8 pm (Time in IST).
“The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 schedule has been revised owing to the municipal elections set to take place in Delhi on April 22nd, 2017. As a result the home matches involving Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians and the Rising Pune Supergiants have undergone minor changes,” a statement from the IPL read.

The much-awaited 10th edition of the tournament will start from April 5 with last year’s finalists Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on each other in Hyderabad.
