IPL 2017: Twitter Reacts As Yuvraj Singh Powers SRH To Big Total Against DD
May 2, 2017 at 10:11 PM
Yuvraj Singh roared back to form with a brilliant fifty to steer Sunrisers Hyderabad to 185 for three against Delhi Daredevils Kotla at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.
The defending champions once again got off to a strong start after being put into bat first.
David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan added 53 runs off only 31 balls before the captain was clean bowled by a brilliant yorker from Mohammed Shami.
Dhawan and Kane Williamson then steadied the ship with a 22-run stand before both were dismissed in quick succession, as the visitors found themselves three down for 92 runs in the 12th over.
Another wicket at that point would have surely derailed their innings but Yuvraj Singh and Moises Henriques did not allow the Delhi bowlers to capitalise on the mini-collapse.
The duo added 93 runs for the fourth wicket, as the visitors recovered from a brief slump to post a challenging total. Yuvraj, who was dropped by Sanju Samson when he was batting on just 29, remained unbeaten on 70 off 41 balls with the help of 11 fours and a six, while Henriques remained not out on 25 off 18 balls.
Here is how Twitter reacted to the innings:

The way Yuvraj struggled throughout the innings and yet managed to get a fifty reminds me of my board exams. #SRHvDD

Few more dangerous players in `death' overs than Yuvraj. Delhi feeling the heat…

And this is the icing on the cake as finally @YUVSTRONG12 gets to flex his muscles – and wield that bat with a swing like a golfer #DDvSRH

Delhi bowlers bowl 2 great deliveries with 2 average ones and 2 pathetic 'hit me' balls every over #IPL

160 has been a threshold Delhi have struggled to score or chase. Should have been able to keep Hyderabad to this but for poor fielding

Yuvraj Singh's 70* (41) is his 2nd highest in #IPL after his 83 (38) for RCB v RR at Bangalore in 2014#DDvSRH
