When was the last time we saw MS Dhoni dropping a catch? Can’t remember. But on Sunday, we witnessed an unusual scene on the field, as MS Dhoni dropped an easy catch of Wriddhiman Saha behind the stumps.
Dropping the catch was not the issue but the lethargic effort put in was the issue as it seemed like Dhoni wasn’t expecting the catch coming towards him and as a result, it wasn’t grabbed. The ball entered his gloves and then escaped quite quickly behind the wickets, giving the batsman chance to run between the wickets.
Jaydev Unadkat was also an unhappy man at the other end, as Saha hit him for a six after a break of one ball and the reaction coming out from the bowler was natural.
Though Punjab was three down at 29 at the end of five overs but still, Saha was at the crease and a thing is to be noted that it was Saha only who played a match winning innings of 93* in the previous game for his team. If Saha is able to repeat his heroics, then it can be said that this was the catch would change the course of the match.
This is the ultimate final for both the teams, as the winner of the game will be going in the next round and the loser will stay on the fifth position on the points table.
