ToggleThe Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) Twitter handle made the announcement of Kedar Jadhav’s unavailability in the tournament.
For those unaware of the recent developments within CSK camp, Jadhav pulled his groin while batting against Mumbai Indians.
Jadhav, who picked the injury while running for a single, was retired hurt in between Chennai’s run chase.

However, Jadhav dramatically came back as the last man and hit the finishing runs out of the sickbed.
In all fairness, the match belonged to Dwayne Bravo with both bat and the ball. Bravo turned the match around its head while smashing a 30-ball 68.
But, Bravo could not deliver the knockout punch with seven required off the last over as he returned to the dugout.

The Indian International showed that he was worth every penny for the INR 7.8 crore spent on him.
“Lions! Sad to share that one of the heroes of our last match @JadhavKedar is ruled out for the rest of IPL, due to a hamstring injury. ?? #getwellsoon #Yellove #WhistlePodu,” tweeted Chennai Super Kings.

The men in yellow have approached Englishman David Willey as a replacement for the wily batsman from Pune; Kedar Jadhav.
This would mean that Willey would become the third Englishman after Sam Billings and Mark Wood to feature in the CSK lineup.

Willey was part of the Twenty20 International squad of England which reached the finals of the World T20 of 2016.
Earlier, CSK received a massive blow before the start of the tournament as Kiwi Mitchell Santner sustained a knee injury which keeps him out of action for more than one year.
