IPL 2019 Auction: Yuvraj Singh to Feature for Mumbai Indians in the Next IPL
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Mumbai Indians have availed the service of veteran India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh for the upcoming edition of the IPL.
Meanwhile, the Indian talisman batsman Yuvraj Singh was released by Kings XI Punjab before the IPL Auction. The southpaw could just manage 65 runs in eight innings. Although Singh hasn’t been in the best of forms but Mumbai Indians showed their trust in the all-rounder. Consequently, Yuvraj was bought at his base price at INR 1 Crore after going unsold in the first round of the auction.

Currently, he is plying his trade for his state team in the Ranji Trophy after missing the first few games. He scored 41 off 34 before being run-out in the recently concluded Ranji game against Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh hasn’t had a merry time in the IPL. The southpaw batsman has scored 2652 runs at an ordinary average of 24.79.
It will be a welcome opportunity for the veteran all-rounder, who will look to use this platform to make a comeback in the national set-up. It will also be a huge boost for the Mumbai Indians as he can chip in with some spin as well.
Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh hasn’t had a merry time in the IPL. The southpaw batsman has scored 2652 runs at an ordinary average of 24.79. The all-rounder had once topped the auctions when Delhi Daredevils bought for Rs 16 Crore in 2015. However, his stocks went down and in IPL 2018 auction, he was sold at his base price of Rs 2 Crore.
Mumbai Indians, who have won the title thrice, will look to bring their title luck in front to lift the trophy in the upcoming edition of the league.
