It seems like the fast bowler of Sunrisers Hyderabad Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead the side in the upcoming few matches of the season. The vice-captain in the previous season attended the pre-tournament photo shoot that took place in Chennai ahead of the tournament opener.
In the photo shoot, all the eight captains need to attend the event and sign the documents, which read that they will play the game in a fair manner. Meanwhile, the missing candidate in the event was Kane Williamson, who was replaced by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Kane Williamson yet to arrive India:
Perhaps, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead the side in the initial few matches as Kane Williamson recently suffered an injury. It was a bit surprising to the fans, as they expected either Kane or David Warner will lead the side.
However, the team management might felt that Warner needs some time, which would have been the key behind Bhuvneshwar Kumar taking the role. Meanwhile, If it is the case, for the first time, it would be 8 Indians leading the teams in Indian Premier League 2019.
Last year, It was a fantastic season for Sunrisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League 2018. They outclassed all the major teams with their brilliant display of cricket in all sections of the game to reach the final of the tournament.
Though they failed to win the trophy, they acquired a great fan base for their stunning display of skills. In IPL 2019, they will start their campaign on Sunday facing Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.
