Chris Gayle came to the party for Kings XI Punjab at PCA stadium against Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, none of the batsmen succeeded in stitching a good partnership with him, which saw Royal Challengers Bangalore on the driver seat.
Initially, it was Virat Kohli, who won the toss, elected to bowl first. The big man of Punjab Chris Gayle got into his zone very quickly, where he smashed RCB bowlers to all corners of the park. However, then came the brilliant spell from Yuzvendra Chahal in the middle overs.

He tricked KL Rahul to dismiss as a stump-out and then bowled a peach of the delivery to Mayank Agarwal. A couple of wickets made Chris Gayle slow his innings once again. In between, Sarfaraz Khan looked like getting into his nick but failed to play the bouncer from Mohammed Siraj.
The wickets further tumbled when Moeen Ali trapped Sam Curran in front of the wicket. However, the stylish southpaw Chris Gayle hung in the middle to give a blistering finish for the team. He looked extraordinary in the middle by whacking those sixes for fun.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore, Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers with a couple of wickets. Apart from him, Moeen Ali and Navdeep Saini were decent enough with their overs.
In the end, the blitz from Chris Gayle and some handy runs from the lower-middle-order helped Kings XI Punjab to post 173 on the board. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore would like to push themselves to chase the tally.

RCB players in Kings XI, Kings XI players in RCB. Must’ve been confusion and collisions while checking in to the dressing rooms ?

Imagine the RCB bowling without Chahal.

Yeah…#RCB should have used the DRS. But it was also a rather ordinary decision. Three Reds. Gayle.
To be fair…umpiring in the #MIvRR game was excellent. Credit where due. #IPL— Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) April 13, 2019
