Chennai Super Kings have suffered a big blow as their prime all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been ruled out for two weeks.

He suffered the injury during CSK’s previous match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium and was seen struggling during the match.

CSK’s CEO KS Viswanathan had confirmed that he (Bravo) was in doubt for team’s next tie and it has been confirmed after the scans that he will be out of action for two weeks.

In four matches that Bravo has played so far in IPL 2019, he has scalped seven wickets and has scored 39 runs.

In his absence, Scott Kuggeleijn is expected to make it to the playing XI and make his IPL debut against Kings XI Punjab tomorrow.

The 27-year-old all-rounder was roped in by CSK as a replacement for Lungi Ngidi, who was ruled out of IPL due to an injury

He has played 4 T20Is so far in which he has scored 57 runs and has scalped two wickets.

Chennai Super Kings next host Kings XI Punjab in their third home game of the season.

They won both the home matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals respectively.

The MS Dhoni-led side is currently placed at the third position in the points table with three wins in four matches.

Their sole defeat has come against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, where Bravo suffered the injury.

Going into the next match, CSK will look to make some changes as well.

Faf du Plessis and Harbhajan Singh are expected to make it to the playing XI.

Kuggeleijn also looks set to make it to the playing XI and he could be coming in for Bravo.

On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab might also have some changes as the pitch in Chennai will assist spinners.

Varun Chakravarthy, who could not impress on his debut, could be given a go in this match.

Kings XI Punjab might drop a pacer from the playing XI.

The two teams face each other tomorrow at MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Kings XI Punjab haven’t played a match in Chennai since 2015.
