Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Andre Russell has been in ferocious form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). His brutal hitting has been a nightmare for the other teams and has also earned him praise from the cricketing fraternity. And not just the cricket lovers and pundits, his teammates are also in awe of Russell’s powerful hitting. New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson, who is featuring for Kolkata for the first time said it is difficult to put words to Russell’s incredible hitting.
Meanwhile, Andre Russell has already bagged three man-of-the-match awards in five games so far. He is currently fifth in the list of highest run-scorer with 207 runs at a staggering strike-rate of 268.63. So far, the big Jamaican has struck 22 sixes and 12 boundaries which proves his ability to hit the ball. Lockie Ferguson shared high praise on his teammate saying he has been in outstanding form this season. And more importantly, Ferguson mentioned that Russell has scored runs at crucial junctures and has won matches for his team.
“It’s too tough to put in words for a guy like that (Andre Russell). He has been magnificent this season. He has been hitting runs at crucial moments,” Ferguson told Timesofindia.com in an exclusive interview.

Batting at in the middle-order, Andre Russell has launched his carnage from the word go. He has timed the ball like never before and Lockie Ferguson said he is a real game changer. Besides, the Kiwi quick also stated that Russell is playing in his team.
“He (Russell) has the ability to take the game away at any time. He is a real game changer. I have never seen a guy like Russell who can hit sixes from the first ball he faces. I am pretty happy he is playing in my team (KKR) and not in (some) other,” Ferguson added.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders are currently at the top of the points table with four wins and one loss. They will face Chennai Super Kings tonight at the Chepauk and both sides will look to strengthen their position at the top.
