The Indian Premier League 2019 already come across a few scintillating efforts on the outfield. The latest to enter one of those is Steve Smith’s stunning catch, which saw the end of IPL 2019 for David Warner. The wicket certainly made the difference, as SRH were at least 20 runs short in the end.

It was in the Oshane Thomas over when David Warner tried to fetch a boundary over the mid-off. However, his mistimed shot lobbed up in the air, which was about to fall in the no-mans land. Just when it is about to reach then came the flying Steve Smith, who pouched it inches from the ground.

Meanwhile, Smith suffered an injury scare to his arm, something, for which, he recently underwent elbow surgery. However, in the later update, Smith felt that he is fine with his arm.

“Hopefully my arm is ok, it hurt initially because of the impact. I’ll get to know more once the tape is off. It was a good end to our home season, the boys pulled things back nicely,” Steve Smith said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

Coming to the match, it was thoroughly Rajasthan Royals, who dominated things in the middle. Earlier, it was Steve Smith, who won the toss and elected to bowl first. They managed to dismiss Kane Williamson early in the innings before tightening things for David Warner.

Shreyas Gopal was once again decent while Varun Aaron, Thomas kept pressure in the middle. In between, Manish Pandey carried his blistering form against Rajasthan Royals. He smashed those boundaries for fun to score runs at a quick rate.

However, none of the batsmen helped the team to finish the innings on a top note. They failed to make things fall in place which saw them posting 160 runs on the board. Jaydev Unadkat was the wrecker-in-chief with the ball alongside Varun Aaron.

Chasing 161, Liam Livingstone (44 off 26) and Ajinkya Rahane (39 off 34) got Rajasthan off to a flying start with the former taking the attack to the opposition. The duo raced off to 78 off 55 balls for the opening wicket, picking up 60 runs off the first six powerplay overs before Livingstone departed in the 10th over.

An over later Rajasthan suffered yet another blow in the form of Rahane, caught by David Warner at long-off off Shakib Al Hasan (1/26). In the end, Turned finished off things.
