Ali Khan featured with the CPL winners Trinbago Knight Riders whose parent company is the IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight. He took eight wickets in eight matches with an economy rate of 7.43 in the CPL this season.

The Knight Riders suffer another blow with the injury to Ali Khan who was himself a replacement for injured Harry Gurney. The team only remain with NZ pacer Lockie Ferguson as a foreign pacer in the dugout.
“Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders signed up Ali Khan as a replacement for injured Harry Gurney. Khan became the first USA cricketer to be signed up by an IPL franchise. Unfortunately, Khan has been injured and will miss the rest of the Dream 11 IPL 2020 season,” read an IPL statement.
Kolkata Knight Riders to face Chennai Super Kings in their 5th match of IPL 2020
Dinesh Karthik led KKR are all set to face MS Dhoni-led CSK in their 5th clash of IPL 2020, coming from recent two losses. The Kolkata based team will be looking to break their losing streak against Chennai.
The likes of Sunil Narine and Andre Russell gaining back their form will be essential for KKR to get in form. Skipper Dinesh Karthik has also disappointed with the bat in the last four matches and will look to be back at his usual self and get some important runs for the team.
