In the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, Rinku finished off as the highest run-scorer in the group stage.
Andre Russell has joined the KKR camp after returning from the CPL. KKR are staying at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. They have completed the mandatory quarantine and have training for the past two weeks.
No one can hit the ball better than him: Rinku Singh on Andre Russell
Rinku Singh has heaped praises on his teammate Andre Russell calling him the best all-rounder in the world. He tells according to him, no one in the sport can hit the ball better than him.
“I haven’t really spoken much with him because I can’t speak in English that well. But yeah, the first year we enjoyed a lot on his birthday in our room. We even partied and danced together. So, I guess we started bonding well afterwards,” Rinku Singh said.
“There is no one who can hit the ball better than him. He has a lot of life and strength in him. His sixes are massive and I just don’t see any batsman as a competition to him. He is the best all-rounder in the world at this moment,” he said.
The Uttar Pradesh batsman tells his experience with the Kolkata based side has been great and he has learnt a lot from his teammates.
The experience has been great. I have learnt so many things. I got to play such high-level cricket with legendary cricketers. My experience also grew on how to treat a match on its merit.”he added.
KKR eye their 3rd IPL victory:
The Kolkata-based side will be led by Dinesh Karthik, who will be assisted by England skipper Eoin Morgan. The KKR bowling lineup has a depth and the opposition would surely fear attacking fast bowlers; Harry Gurney, Lockie Ferguson and Andre Russell alongside Indian youngsters – Prasidh Krishna, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Sandeep Warrier, and Shivam Mavi. The spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Sunil Narine will also be game-changers for KKR.
KKR will play their first match against MI on 23rd of September. They have been training for two weeks now in the scorching heat of the UAE. The IPL 2020 will begin from September 19 till November 10, a total 53-day campaign will see all the eight teams play in UAE.
