The countdown for the much-awaited tournament–Indian Premier League 2020 has begun. The fans are ready to cheer up their respective favourite teams. Moreover, everyone is wishing to see their franchise, lifting the trophy.

Well, here we discuss the chance for Delhi Capitals, who have some major star available – to help to lift the coveted trophy. Capitals as a team is filled with youngsters and experienced lot. The team has four times i.e, 2008,2009, 2012, 2019 reached the knockout rounds but hasn’t been able to lay hands on a trophy.

In the IPL 2020 auction, they bought the services of Jason Roy,  Chris Woakes, Shimron Hetmyer, Alex Cary and Mohit Sharma which will surely help them to strengthen their team in their upcoming edition.

Delhi capitals captain Shreyas Iyer, who is now a regular player in the Indian national cricket team, is the main character in the team. He very well knows how to handle the pressure in the field.

His performance against New Zealand, in the recently-concluded T20I and ODI series, is evident in his performance. The youngster was first time touring at Kiwi land but it didn’t halt him to score runs. The 25-year-old is the solution for India, for the longstanding problem of No. 4 in the team.

Under his captaincy, DC for the first time since 2012 entered the knock out round in the last edition of the IPL 2019. Iyer scored 463 runs in 16 games at the strike rate of 119. 94. Thus, he can help his team lift the trophy.
