No Matter What, You Have To Respect The Opposition – Anil Kumble
Anil Kumble expressed his disappointment over the ugly spat between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir after the match in Ekana Stadium. The 2011 World Cup winners were seen having a heated argument after Royal Challengers Bangalore’s win over Lucknow Super Giants.
The Visuals after the game were not well received by many cricket experts, as they felt that this would set a bad example for the youngsters in the squad.
“Lot of emotion goes in (the game), but you don’t want to be displaying those emotions. Yes, you need to have a conversation, but this is unacceptable. No matter what, you have to respect the opposition. You have to respect the game,” Anil Kumble said.
Many speculate that the reason behind the RCB player’s behaviour in the field against Lucknow is due to KL Rahul’s team’s actions in their previous encounter in Chinnaswamy stadium, where Lucknow Super Giants made a brilliant comeback to secure the win in the final ball to break the hearts of Bangalore fans.
