1. Ravindra Jadeja vs Kolkata Knight Riders

It was the first match of IPL after the tournament moved to India. Chennai Super Kings managed to put on 148 in their 17 overs with a fifty from Brendon McCullam. Chasing 149 to win, Kolkata were off to s lumpy start as their top order got out quickly. It was when Jadeja came in and turned the game on its head. He ran through the middle order as he accounted for the wickets of Manish Pandey, Shakib al Hasan, Suryakumar Yadav and Robin Uthappa in quick succession and sealed the match in the favour of CSK. He finished with figures of 4-0-12-4.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar vs Rajasthan Royals

After bundling out for 134 in their 20 overs, the Sunrisers Hyderabad wanted their bowling attack to win the match against Rajasthan Royals. Bhuvneshwar Kumar produced a fine display of seam bowling as he took the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane in the third ball of the innings and troubled Krun Nair and Sanju Samson with his swing. He came back in his last over to claim three more wickets of Faulkner, Bhatia and Richardson and seal the match for SRH

3. Pravin Tambe vs Kolkata Knight Riders 

Chasing 171 to win, KKR openers put on a 120 run partnership in 14 overs before Watson struck thrice in a single over to slow down their progress. In the very next over, 43 year old Pravin Tambe created history by becoming the oldest bowler to take a hat-trick in T20 cricket. He accounted for the wickets of Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan and Ryan Ten Doeschate en-route to his hat-trick off 2 balls. All of a sudden, KKr stumbled from 121-0 to 123-6 and went on to lose the match by 10 runs. 

4. Sandeep Sharma vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

Kings Xi Punjab put Royal Challengers into bat after winning the toss. After Glenn Maxwell conceded 20 runs in the first over, Sandeep Sharma knocked out Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli in the second over and came back to pick the wicket of Parthiv Patel in the sixth over. It was a perfect exhibition of seam bowling from the Punjab youngster who finished with a match figures of 3-1-15-3. Kings XI restricted RCB for 124 runs and won the match by 5 wickets.

5. James Faulkner vs Kolkata Knight Riders

29 April 2014, James Faulkner was celebrating his birthday and came back into the Rajasthan Royals side. After put into bat first, Royals managed to score 152. Chasing 153 to win, Kolkata Knight Riders started off strongly and threatened to take the game away from Rajasthan. When 14 was needed off the last two overs, Faulkner bowled the penultimate over. He scalped Suryakumar in the first ball of his over castled Uthappa and Vinay Kumar in the fourth and fifth ball of the over and gave away just 2 runs. With that effort from Faulkner, RR managed to tie the contest and in the super over, they managed to win as Faulkner gave away just 11 runs in his over.
