Former Indian cricketer Deep Dasgupta believes that Suresh Raina might return to the UAE to join the CSK camp but might miss the first few matches. Earlier, Raina has hinted to of his comeback after pulling out from the league citing personal reasons.
Deep Dasgupta feels that Suresh Raina will be back with the CSK squad in the UAE. As per him, the just-retired cricketer will miss action for the first few matches because he would have to follow the quarantine rule. Dasgupta is also not surprised that CSK has, so far, not picked up the replacement of Raina, who is their highest run-scorer in the IPL.

IPL 2020: Deep Dasgupta Feels Suresh Raina Will Return To CSK Squad
“I have a feeling that Suresh Raina will be back playing the IPL. He might miss out on the first few games because of the quarantine rules and all but I have a feeling that Suresh will be back,” Dasgupta told ESPNCricinfo. “I won’t be surprised if they don’t pick a replacement for Suresh.”

After Suresh Raina’s departure, CSK’s veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh also backed from playing the tournament. He had also given personal reasons for missing this year’s IPL season. Dasgupta has named Jalaj Saxena as an accurate replacement of the seasoned spinner.
“As far as the replacement is concerned, there aren’t too many options. But I think Jalaj Saxena deserves a place, he’s a good enough all-rounder. I think they might look at him, he’s a very good option for Bhajji’s replacement,” Dasgupta added.
Meanwhile, IPL 2020 is scheduled to begin from 19th September and will be played in three venues- Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
