IPL 2018: Watch – Dinesh Karthik’s Stunning Stumping to Get Rid of Ajinkya Rahane

The way Ajinkya Rahane had started proceedings with the bat in the ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday evening, it would have taken something from the visitors to get rid of him.

Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav started the proceedings with the ball brightly. They conceded only nine runs off the first three overs.

Rajasthan Royals‘ skipper Rahane then broke the shackles by hitting Sunil Narine for four consecutive boundaries.

In no time, he raced away to 35 with the help of five fours and a six.  However, before he could inflict further damage on Knight Riders, he perished courtesy of a stunning glovework from Dinesh Karthik.

On the fifth ball of the seventh over, Rahane went for a flick. However, he missed it and the ball after hitting the pad rolled over in front of him. He soon tried to scamper for a single.

But before he could do anything else, Karthik came running from behind, collected the ball and back-flicked the ball on the stumps.

Here is a clip of that stunning effort:
