Ishant Sharma is a lynchpin for Team India in the Test format. The Delhi-born cricketer is the spearhead of India’s pace bowling attack in the longest format. With the tall height and pace, he has led the team to several crucial victories. He has so far played in 97 Test matches and picked 297 wickets.
Ishant Sharma preparing for IPL 2020:
The lanky pacer Sharma last played for India in the New Zealand tour before the outbreak of the virus. He had sustained an injury during that tour but the five months break had given him enough time to recover from the injury.
The pacer will be seen in action for the Delhi capitals in the upcoming Indian Premier League(IPL) scheduled to start from 19th September.
Apart from Ishant, another Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has been awarded India’s highest sports honour Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. Only three other Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have received this illustrious award.
