The fast bowler from England Jade Dernbach has called curtains on his international career on the most iconic day of the England cricket. He believes that it would be a good memory to leave the International cricket, as England won their first-ever World Cup in cricket history.
Despite bidding adieu to the International cricket, he will be serving his county side, Surrey. From now, he will be a regular in the Surrey club and will look after the county championships on a serious note as a senior of the team.
Born in South Africa, Jade Dernbach moved to England when he was 14 years old. At 17, he became Surrey’s youngest debutant in over 30 years to play first-class cricket. Later in 2006, he emerged as Surrey’s leading wicket-taker and delivered an exceptional performance in the Natwest Pro40.

He was awarded ECB’s increment contract in 2011-2012 but proved expensive in the ODI series against India. His performance later improved in England’s limited over campaign against Pakistan and he continued to be a part of the English squad in the shorter formats of the game.
In total, Jern Dernbach represented England in 24 ODI and 34 T20I matches in his career. He went on to pick 34 and 39 wickets respectively with an economy rate revolving around 6.
Thank you for all the support – Jade Dernbach
Coming back to his tweet, Dernbach quoted that the world cup-winning day would be the best day to announce his international retirement. He thanked all the supporters, who stood on behalf right from the start and wants to continue his services for Surrey.

”I think this is a good time to announce that after a lot of consideration today I am announcing my international retirement. Thank you for all the support over the years but the team are in a good place moving forward. Looking forward to concentrating on Surrey now,” Jade Dernbach tweeted.
