The incident between Jadeja and Anderson was surely a one which drew attention of everyone. But, not when the matter seemed to have settled down , former English captain Mike Brearley has said that Anderson should be encouraged to be aggressive but not at the cost of his self respect. Brealey added that sports persons are considered a role model but when they cross the line , they are no more considered as role models.

Earlier , after this incident occured, news came into the media that the English team management is supporting Anderson and has asked him to continue the same way.

Mike Brearley sais that it’s needed to be competitive but being Anderson’s gesture and language don’t make him competitive but reduces his respect infront of everyone.

This Anderson and jadeja incident occured when the players were leaving for Lunch after the 2nd Day of the 1st test match at Trent Bridge.

But much to the surprise of everyone, Jadeja was fined 50 percent of the match fees after English Board lodged a complaint against Jadeja following India’s complaint. But, Anderson was spared and even BCCI’s plea was rejected by the ICC after BCCI asked ICC to reconsider their decision.

Thsi incident looks settled now and such comments won’t be enought to make this incident alive again. The focus has shifted back to cricket and it has been England who has taken away the cake after some poor display in the 2nd Test match. Moeen Ali has answere his critics in style, though he has to work on his batting , especially on the short stuffs.

The series is placed 2-1 in favour of England, and even a draw is enough for them to retain the Cup and a loss will also mea that they retain the Cup, after the series will end at 2-2. India have a lot to ponder over , both the playing 11 and the injury issues. Sturat Broad is all likely to play in the 5th Test.
