James Taylor Recalls The Hardships He Faced Due To Fatal Disease

James Taylor could have been the next big thing in England cricket but his career got curtailed by a heart disease, which forced him to retire at the age of 26.

He faced many hardships, fought against all odds in a bid to survive. He went for rehabilitation to get his disease cured, which was one of the toughest periods for him.

“Before the first game of the season at Cambridge..my heart was going..you could see my shirt moving, that was how hard. My heart was beating inside the chest. Just randomely I was unaware of the condition I had and yeah from there it was a long way joke.

“I went off and I went to the hospital some hours later. My heart was beating 10 times faster which they said is a miracle I was able to walk in. My heart rate was gong to 265 beats per minute. It shot straight up to 265 per minute probably for six to seven hours. I wouldn’t’ get alright but I am still alive. I should have died, that’s the scary thing about this is inherited heart CONDITION. A lot of people don’t get the operation that I had and it’s often too late. So thankfully I survived. That was with medication.”

The cricket fraternity was gutted after hearing this news as Taylor was tipped to be one for the future. He played a total of 7 Tests and 27 ODIs for England with his last appearance in international cricket coming in a Test against South in January 2016 at Centurion. Now Taylor is a cricket expert and is often seen on television and online web portals, analysing the performance of his team.
