Former Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad has revealed an inside story during the Pakistan tour of India. We have always seen Indian and Pakistan cricketers as the arch-rivals in cricket battlefield. But the story narrated by Miandad gave the view that the cricketer of both countries enjoyed each other’s company.

Speaking in a Youtube video, Miandad recalled when they had toured India, it was the time of Holi. So, the Green Army joined the Holi celebration with the Indian cricketers. They were throwing each other on the pool but Ravi Shastri resisted. So, they forcefully picked up the present Indian head coach and threw him in the pool.

“During the Bangalore Test, both the teams were staying in the same hotel. There was not much to do around there. In the evening, we all used to spend time together. It was around Holi season,” Miandad recalled.

“People started playing Holi in the hotel. I remember we even entered Imran Khan’s room and everyone was putting colours on each other. We did not even leave Indian cricketers. They, of course, had no problems,” he added.

“Ravi Shastri was hiding himself. We entered his room, and we picked him up and we threw him in the pool. All of us really enjoyed together,” he said.

“I was always thrown in the water. We were pushing each other in the pool. We used to have so much fun,” he signed off.

Further, Miandad said that it was Pakistan’s best tour and they enjoyed very much during that tour. At last, he said that everyone should participate in each other’s festivals.

Well, because of political rivalries, the two countries have not played each other homes after January 2013. India and Pakistan now face each other only during the ICC events or Asia Cup.
