With the prosperous festival of Ganesh Chaturthi commencing from the 5th of September, one can expect the mood of all devotees to be pretty good and joyous. In the Indian state of Maharashtra, the festival is celebrated at the highest level as devotees remain elated during the 10 day festival of prosperity.
Sachin Tendulkar, who remains active as a genuine inspiration for everyone across the globe, keenly celebrates the festival every year at his home. On every occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Little Master shares an image of his family celebrating the festival at their home. This time around, Tendulkar kept his fans guessing when he uploaded a picture, of a person bowing down to Lord Ganesha’s idol at his place.
Tendulkar, who uploaded the image on Twitter, also followed it up with a caption. “Guess who dropped by to seek Bappa’s blessings today!!?? #GaneshChaturthi. The person in question was none other than former South African legend and Tendulkar’s close associate Jonty Rhodes.

Rhodes is a close aid of Tendulkar and shares a special bond with the Indian nation as a whole. The fielding maestro also named his newborn daughter India last year. “I have spent a lot of time here. What I love about India is that it’s a rich mix of culture, heritage and tradition. It is a very spiritual country, very forward-thinking nation,” Rhodes said last year. “I really like that combination. You have to have a good balance of life. “I have spent a lot of time here.
