The windy conditions are never liked by batsman as bowlers have an upper hand in such conditions. The same case was witnessed in the ongoing Test between New Zealand and India in Wellington. The visitors were bundled out for 165 runs at Basin Reserve. Evidently, Kane Williamson has to also face the consequence of the windy conditions during India’s innings.

On the first day of the Test match, there was a hilarious moment on the field as the Kiwis skipper has to chase down his cap after it flew off his head due to the sturdy winds. In Tim Southee’s over, as the bowler got ready to charge in, Williamson faced the consequences of the prevailing windy conditions in Wellington.

The visitors had to face the consequences of the conditions at Basin reserve. As India’s three-wicket were down in no time (40-3). While the captain Virat Kohli also could not deliver with the bat, losing his wicket to the Test debutant Kyle Jamieson. However, in the end, rain interrupted the game and India was left stranded at 122-5 at stumps in the opening day.

And on the proceeding day on Saturday, Kohli’s men could not gain momentum. Rishabh Pant lost his wicket because of miscommunication with Ajinkya Rahane. He had to walk off after scoring 19 runs. Soon, the vice-captain was sent back by the veteran Southee. The visitors were finally bundled out for a paltry 165 courtesy Southee and Jamieson, as the duo picked four wickets each.

At present, Williamson-led side is dominating India and will aim to set up a big total to gain the lead in the Test series.
