Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav, has recently interacted with fans through an Instagram live session amid the lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic. Jadhav had to go through some tricky questions during the candid chat with his fans. And one of them was the selection of his favourite personalities between former Indian captain MS Dhoni and Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Kedar Jadhav has been the regular feature in One Day Internationals (ODI) for India which further saw him away from the field too in between. He made his debut for India under the captaincy of Dhoni. He has been a trusted finisher for the former Indian captain. The duo shares a good bond as they play for Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings.
When a fan asked Kedar to select between Dhoni and Salman, he disagreed with picking one of them but said that he would prioritise Dhoni over Salman Khan.
Kedar Jadhav also felt it is difficult to pick between MS Dhoni and Salman Khan:
“Superstar for me is a mix of 2 words – super and star. So for me, they both are like a superstar. I cannot differentiate but I would still like to clear this that because of MS Dhoni I have been able to play the duration I have played,” he said.
“And because of Mahi bhai, I got to meet Salman bhai. I think it will always be Mahi bhai first then Salman bhai but it is very difficult for me. It is like asking which parent is your favourite?” Kedar justified on the Instagram Live.
Kedar Jadhav has played a decent role for India and CSK led by MS Dhoni:
Currently, Kedar has been not performing well at an international platform. He was also a fruitful sixth bowling option for the team, but now, he doesn’t bowl. So, his position in the team is under question.
The 35-year-old has played 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is. Jadhav has scored 1389 runs in ODIs at an average of 42.09 while in nine T20Is, he has managed to score 122 runs. He also has 27 ODIs wickets under his belt.
