Remember the last year’s IPL and those scintillating shots taken which were wrapped up in the form of loads of goose bumps created by the Australian youth star, Glenn Maxwell? Yes, it is the IPL 2014 runners up Kings XI Punjab, if reports published off recently are to be paid heed off; who are gearing up for the upcoming Champions League Twenty20 to be held in the month of September and October of this year. They, as per the reports published, are not interested to lose even a single chance they have got to play and impress the spectators in the Champions League T20 this season and therefore, will be starting to hold an effective training session in a specially designated training and session camp at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium on Friday.
Some of the top notch players and those of greater repute will be taking part in the camp. Names of a few of them includes the former Australian captain George Bailey, Indian opener Virender Sehwag, and the three Australian musketeers in the name of firepower David Miller, charismatic and youthful Glenn Maxwell, speedster Mitchell Johnson, and besides Akshar Patel, Rishi Dhawan, Karanveer Singh, Thisara Perera, Laxmipathy Balaji, Parvinder Awana, Manan Vohra, Wriddhiman Saha, Anureet Singh and Mandeep Singh along with coach Sanjay Bangar, bowling coach Joe Dawes, and fielding coach R Sridhar.

Fraser Castellino, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Kings XI Punjab, said in a release today that this is the first time they are competing in such a huge platform such as the Champions League and that they are absolutely thrilled to be a part of it.

While commenting on the camp, Fraser Castellino said that they are going to work on every possible detail on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT Analysis) of each player and further accentuate them in order to contribute effectively towards the team’s performance in the upcoming tournament.

The entire Kings XI Punjab team, as of heard till now, will be playing four matches at their home ground on September 18th, 20th, 26th and 28th and if everything goes on like this and luck be with them, they are quite confident of converting their all hard works into a well-built success story.
