On Monday Former cricketer and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) figurehead Kirti Azad requested the Supreme Court to instigate strong legal action against former the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) head Narayanaswami Srinivasan for visiting the working committee meeting of the cricket board.
Kirti Azad said that for a common man, the Supreme Court’s judgment is irrevocable but Narayanaswami Srinivasan thinks himself to be above the law. He further said that whosoever present in the meeting were well conscious of that Narayanaswami Srinivasan cannot attend the discussion, the Supreme Court should take heed on this event and examine all the people who were present in the meeting.
The Supreme Court had prohibited Narayanaswami Srinivasan from engaging in election the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) elections due to the conflict of interest with regard to the Indian Premiere League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The apex court passed the former the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) head for his professed cover-ups in the spot-fixing case.
