Latest ICC Test ranking – R Ashwin loses top spot among all-rounders

Up till now, India’s all rounder R Ashwin was holding the top position in the chart of ICC ranking for the test all-rounders. Shakib-Al-Hasan of Bangladesh has now grabbed the number 1 position. Shakib has got a rating of 419 against 357 of R Ashwin, who has slipped to the second spot. Shakib achieved this feat in his wonderful performance in the test match against Zimbabwe.

Shakib, during the second test, not only took 10 wickets but also scored a splashing century. With his impressive performance, Shakib has got a jump of 6 places in the batting ranking and now standing at 30th spot. Likewise, in the bowling too, his great performance has paid good premium and by gaining 4 spots, he has reached his career best 14th position.

It is not out of place to mention that Ravindra Jadeja, another Indian all rounder, is the other one appearing in 4th place in the ICC ranking for all-rounders in ODIs. Many of the readers will find it interesting that another brilliant all-rounder of India, Yuvraj Singh is still holding 5th place in the ICC ranking for all rounder in T20.
