Chris Jordan who is in superb form for Sussex after his return from IPL says that he has learnt a lot from IPL. With an interview with BBC on Monday, a day after taking a fiver Jordan said “I learnt quite a bit in a short space of time out there. I felt I made a real impression off the back of the World T20 and got myself into a good feeling in that tournament. It’s all about protecting that form and good feeling right now. I’m feeling in a good rhythm and I’m nice and clear in what I’m doing in my game. All I can do is keep performing and keep trying to win games for Sussex and let everything else take care of itself.” He said.

Jordan who replaced Mitchell Starc in the RCB camp pouched 11 wickets in the 9 games he played for the franchise in his IPL debut. He did not have a good start to IPL as he spent 52 runs in the first IPL game he played. In total, he leaked 258 runs in the tournament at the economy rate of 9.21 which is much higher. Royal Challengers Bangalore lost the final to Sunrisers Hyderabad even after having a brilliant start to the innings chasing down a huge target.

Currently, Chris Jordan is playing the royal London one day cup and has already grabbed 7 wickets in three games, his best figures being 5/28. Not being the part of the test team which is playing against Sri Lanka, Jordan is presenting his case for a place in One day team by his brilliant performances. The one Twenty20 International and five ODI series against Sri Lanka will get underway from June 21.
After the series the England team will take on the Pakistan team in four matches test series, followed by five ODI’s and a lone T20 match. With these type of performances, he is hopeful of getting a place in the test team too. Joran has played 8 test matches till now in which he has 21 wickets to his name in 16 innings. Sadly he is yet to take five wickets in an inning of a test match.

A tough and long tour awaits the England team and surely Jordan will be part of it and will play an important role in the matches if he is able to continue his good form in the domestic cricket.
