His biopic titled ‘M.S. Dhoni- The Untold Story’ is all set to hit the theatres on September 30 and fans across the country are eagerly waiting for the movie. Just like the name suggests, the movie is set to reveal a lot of secrets about India’s most successful skipper and fans are desperate to know about Dhoni’s life. The Sushant Singh Rajput starrer movie traces the journey of India’s most successful skipper, who crossed numerous barriers and fought against all the odds to realize his dream of donning the Indian jersey. Dhoni’s journey from a T.C in the Indian Railways to the pinnacle of world cricket forms the crux of the story.
Well it is quite expected that the movie is going to be a massive hit and is set to earn a lot of money but if reports are to be believed then the movie has already earned a whooping amount of money even before hitting the theatres.
According to reports the makers of the movie spent around 80 crores in the making of the movie. And even before the release of the movie, they have already recovered 60 crores. The movie has received a whooping 45 crores from satellite rights and 15 crores from various brand associations. It is still 20 crores shy of the money spent in the making but it is quite expected that it will collect it on the opening day itself. The report claimed that the brands would spend a huge amount on the promotions too.
