A brief story on Mahendra Singh Dhoni:
MS Dhoni was born on July 7th and since the beginning had shown his interest in playing football rather than cricket. He later was put forcefully into cricket but his childhood coach and later, developed his interest in the game to become wicketkeeper for his school team.
After completion of his education, he started his cricket career representing Central Coal Fields Limited team in 1998. He also played for Bihar U-19 in 1998–99, his Ranji Trophy debut was in 1999–2000 season representing Bihar.
During those times, he worked as a ticket examiner Kharagpur railway station, in West Bengal. Then, he gained more recognition while playing for Jharkhand cricket team in 2002–03 Ranji Trophy.
After a lot of struggles, he got the chance to represent India during 2003-04. Though Mahendra Singh Dhoni hasn’t got the success with his willow, he impressed with his wicketkeeping skills for the team to get the trust of the management.
Later, he developed himself into a solid batsman for the team with his fine knocks for India. His scores against Sri Lanka and Pakistan gave him a grand recognition as a batsman and cemented his place as well.
Later, when Team India faced the wrath of the public after the loss in the ICC World Cup 2007, MS Dhoni took the onus on his him and led the team successfully in the ICC T20 World Cup in the very same year.
Then, he led India to victory in major bilateral series and then the grand ICC World Cup 2011. After that, he left his Test boots and subsequently called curtains on his captaincy after winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2013.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born to a middle-class family that was run by his father Pan Singh. He was from Lvali village, Almora District, Uttarakhand and was a Manager at MECON. His mother, Devki is a housewife.
MS Dhoni got an elder brother named Narendra Singh Dhoni. He is a politician, who started with BJP in 2009 and later joined Samajwadi Party.
MS Dhoni’s sister is Jayanti Gupta. She is a happily married woman and was an English teacher.
Wife and a daughter:
Mahendra Singh Dhoni married to Sakshi Singh Rawat on July 4th, 2010. His wife Sakshi Singh Rawat is from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She studied hotel management and worked at Taj Bengal, Kolkata. The couple gave birth to a baby girl on 6th February 2015.
