Manish Pandey, Karun Nair To Lead India A In South Africa; Krunal Pandya Earns Maiden Call Up

Manish Pandey will lead the India A side for the tri-series against South Africa A and Australia A to be played in South Africa next month. The squad includes the likes of Mandeep Singh, Karun Nair, Rishabh Pant and Shardul Thakur.

While youngsters like Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Deepak Hooda have been given a chance for the A tour. The name of Karun Nair in List A team means that he will not be the part of Indian side for the tour to Sri Lanka in the month of July-September.

Nair, became just the second ever Indian batsman after Virender Sehwag to score a triple century in a Test match when he achieved the landmark in the Chennai Test against England. Surprisingly, he was dropped for the very next Test against Bangladesh but failed to make a mark even in his return game against Australia, which has forced the selectors to recall him back to the second string side.
