Melbourne Renegades recorded the least score in the Big Bash League over 4 seasons as they were bundled out for just 57 against Melbourne Stars at their home ground Docklands stadium in Melbourne.
The previous least score was by Perth Scorchers’ who scored just 69, which was also against Melbourne Stars at Perth; thanks to an brilliant bowling figures of 4-1-7-6 recorded by Lasith Malinga way back in December, 2012 during 2nd season.
The next least was 18 runs better than the second least; which was recorded in the first season by Adelaide Strikers against Sydney Sixes when they bowled out for 87.
The next two least scores were also recorded by Adelaide Strikers. Melbourne Stars restricted Strikers for 90 for 9 with a economical bowling in first season at MCG and were bowled out for just 91 against Perth Scorchers at Adelaide Oval in 2nd season.
Melbourne Renegades’s 57 in this season was also the least score in T20 format in Australia and also the least score by a Australian origin team in T20 Cricket.
