Despite the level of offense, many felt that the media has exaggerated the situation by telecasting about the ball tampering incident all the time.
The incident has been dubbed as predetermined cheating which drew a lot of criticism from all sections of Australian public including the Prime Minister of the nation.
The World No.1 test batsman has also revealed the level of impact the incident has had on his family over the past few days before eventually breaking out in tears in front of the packed press conference.
In case if you didn’t know, Australia had used sandpaper on the ball in am an attempt to make it reverse and gain an unusual advantage in the match.
However, their acts were soon captured by a local telecasting channel which made the situation known to the cricket world. The matter was handled seriously by Cricket Australia as James Sutherland flew to Cape Town.
Both Warner and Smith had been stripped off their million dollar IPL contracts, and they had endured a difficult week beginning on Saturday. Youngster Cameron Bancroft was also handed a nine-month ban in what is termed as one of the most controversial moments in Australian Cricket history.
