The IPL is a seasonal event which gives a lot of joy to the viewers due to its high entertainment value and also a lot of revenues to the organizers due to its high viewership. However none of this would be possible without the players who are on the field taking on the heat and humidity of the season and still giving their best every time they are given a chance. But there are some players who have not missed a lot of action throughout all the seasons and have been able to play almost every match from the first game of the inaugural season of the league.

Suresh Raina

The most consistent batsmen for the CSK, the highest run getter of all time in the IPL, player with the highest number of catches in the IPL, player with the most caps in the IPL. These are a few records that belong to the Indian south paw Suresh Raina. Raina who is the only Indian player to have a 3 digit score in all 3 matches in international cricket has been an integral part of the Super King set up right from the beginning and the team management has never been able to find a flaw in him so as to drop him. Having played every single match that the team in yellow has ever played, Suresh Raina tops the list with an exact figure of 150 appearances till date in the IPL. 

Virat Kohli

The future Indian skipper Virat Kohli who started his career with the Bangalore franchise has now become the skipper of the team and seems to have made the whole franchise his own. The stylish batsman from Indian has already made his mark in international cricket with his class and has had many legends want to look at him. However Kohli has often been criticized for showing too much aggression on the field but now it seems to have made him a better person. Kohli who recently exploded with an unbeaten 80 along with ABD has played 122 games for the team in Red and is second in the list.

M.S. Dhoni

The most popular, most influential, arguably the most successful captains of the Indian national team MS Dhoni has played all the season of the IPL as a skipper for the Chennai Super Kings and has led them to two league titles. Dhoni who is the leader of one of the most successful and consistent teams in the IPL has taken his skill to another level in the tournament. He has helped his team in various occasions and finds his name in the 3rd place for the most matches played in the IPL with 115 games under his belt. Dhoni does not look any-where close to finished and can easily break half the record of the IPL.

R Ashwin

Yet another main stay in the Chennai Super Kings and the Indian national team, Ashwin who started his career as a back-up for Harbhajan Singh has now made his place in the Indian team his own after superb performances even in overseas conditions that do not help spin bowling what so ever. Ashwin who is an integral part of the Chennai team has often helped the team out of a glut and finds his name 4th in the all times appearances list for the IPL by playing 107 matches for the Chennai Super Kings. He has made himself an important player for any team he plays in and has been a great servant to the Indian team.

S Croft

The only name that does not belong to the cash rich league, Croft who plays his league cricket for the Lancashire County cricket club is a good crafty bowler who also packs a punch in the middle order. His all round abilities have made him an important part of the domestic circuit in England. Croft who lost out in the final of the Natwest T20 blast bowled a brilliant spell to get his team off on a good note. Croft has played 102 matches on the trot and finds his name in this list in the 5th position.

Ambati Rayudu

Rayudu who has been on the verge of an Indian spot for a long time has been a consistent run scorer in the domestic arena and also for the franchise that he has been playing in the IPL. With nothing notable in the player, Rayudu who does not look like a big hitter can tonk the ball a fair distance and is known for his six hitting ability and his calmness under pressure when finishing matches. Rayudu who now plays for the Mumbai Indians has played 102 consecutive T20 matches and is now 6th on the all time list.
