MS Dhoni Overtakes Rahul Dravid to Become the Second Most Capped Indian

Former India, skipper MS Dhoni, overtook Rahul Dravid to become the second most capped player for India in international cricket.
Meanwhile, Dhoni played 505th match for India when he took the field in the Super Four clash against Pakistan. He marked his 505th game with some good work behind the stumps. Dhoni helped India to get a big Decision Review System (DRS) call right.
Prior to MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid was the second most capped player for India with 504 caps in international cricket. Sachin Tendulkar leads the list with a record 664 matches. Dhoni is the most experienced player in the 16-member squad at the Asia Cup 2018, and his wealth of experience comes handy every time there’s a need of change in bowling and fielding plans.
In the 505 matches for India, Dhoni has scored 16,268 runs, including 15 hundred and 102 fifties. He has played 90 Test matches, 322 ODIs, and 93 T20Is. MS Dhoni also holds the record for playing the most number of international games as captain (331).
Dhoni is the only captain to win all three ICC tournament – ODI World Cup, World T20, and Champions Trophy and he’s also the most successful ODI captain in Indian cricket history.
Furthermore, he will take part in India’s last Super Four clash against Afghanistan. The men in blues will square off against Afghanistan on September 24 at Dubai in a dress rehearsal ahead of the mega-finale clash of the ongoing Asia Cup 2018.
MS Dhoni, who has been silent with the bat so far with the bat, will look to get some runs ahead of the Friday’s mega-finale.
