India’s limited overs skipper MS Dhoni might have left Chennai Super Kings for Rising Pune Supergiants in the Indian Premier League(IPL), but his heart still beats for his old team. And why not, after all, he became the most decorated skipper of the T20 league with the Chennai franchise. One of the most successful captains of all time, Dhoni led the team from Chennai to two IPL titles(2010, 2011) and two Champions League Twenty20 titles(2010,2014).

However, his beautiful relation with CSK came to an abrupt end, when the team along with Rajasthan Royals were suspended from the league for two years due to their involvement in the match-fixing scandal. But there is absolutely no love lost between the Dhoni and CSK fans. And Dhoni’s love for the city was evident when the Indian captain made sure to include Chennai in his itinerary for the promotion of the upcoming movie “M.S.Dhoni- The Untold Story.”

As quoted from Deccan Chronicle, a source said, “While the trailer was first launched in Jalandhar as all the bats are made there, he told the team to include Chennai in the forthcoming tours.

The same day, the trailer was unveiled in Mumbai. Sushant and Dhoni are going to visit many cities in the coming weeks and one thing was very clear — Chennai shouldn’t be missed out.”

“Chennai has been included in the travel list, as Dhoni still shares a special connection with the city. It will most likely start by the end of this month. The final schedule and other cities which they will be touring, is yet to be decided,” the source added.

The biopic set to hit the theatres on September 30 traces the journey of the India’s most successful captain of all time, who fought against all the odds and crossed numerous hurdles to play for his country.
