MS Dhoni’s biopic delayed again

The much awaited biopic of Indian captain MS Dhoni has been delayed yet again. As per the sources, the Neeraj Pandey directed film will now go on floors in June. The reason behind the delay is that there have been a few changes in the script of the movie.

An insider from the film was quoted saying, “The film was supposed to go on floors last year, but was postponed when Dhoni suddenly decided to hang up his Test boots. The script had to be reworked to include his retirement. Now, recent developments like India losing their World Cup campaign at the semi final stage preceded by the birth of Dhoni’s daughter, Ziva, also need to be incorporated in the script. That is the reason for the delay in starting the film’s shoot.”

As of now, just the poster of the film has been launched and made public. An individual working on the project chipped in with some details and said, “But we are all positive about the project and Sushant has been working really hard for it. There has been constant delays in the project due to recent developments in Dhoni’s personal and professional life. We were supposed to start shooting for the film this month, but now the schedule has been pushed ahead to June. We want to showcase the facts of Dhoni’s life in the film and that’s the biggest challenge for us. Hence, the delay.”

The director of the movie was unavailable for any comments.
