The new West Indies Skipper, Jason Holder was all praises for his Indian counterpart Mahendra Singh Dhoni and added that his time at the Chennai franchise during IPL taught him a lot.
Holder said that MSD was very influential and that he found the true meaning of a leader when he was under MSD. He also added that he looks upon MSD as a captain for inspiration in his job for the Windies. He also added that Dhoni handles pressure situation in a way not many people can and that this was the reason for his enormous success all around the world.
The 23 year old said that he would love to be a part of the IPL added that this time he had other goals for himself and that he wanted bring back the lost identity of the West Indies national team. The 23 year old who spoke about his first series as a test captain against South Africa said that it was a time to stabilize the team and to understand the strengths and weakness of each other and that it was a learning curve for him in his career.
Holder who is a part of the Barbados Tridents in the CPL said that he is focused solely on playing the World Champions at home and that the CPL comes after national duty. Taking about the Tridents, with the like of Pollard and Justin Ontong, Holder felt that he had a great unit and that he is ready to go.
