Mumbai Indians retains Harbhajan Singh, turns away Zaheer Khan

The prominent IPL franchisee, Mumbai Indians has released senior cricketer Zaheer Khan from their team. Also Mumbai Indians have opted to release Pragyan Ojha. However imposing faith on Harbhajan Singh, Mumbai Indians have decided to retain him.

Zaheer Khan had suffered from side sprain in the IPL 2014 and was out of auction. He tried hard to make a comeback in the champions league T-20 but could not recover. Off late the national selectors also ignored him as his name was not figured in the list of 30 probable for World Cup 2015. It is not out of place to mention that Zaheer Khan was so enthusiastic to play regularly that he had attended a fitness camp in France last year along with Yuvraj Singh. Many of the fans of the game are of the opinion that given his experience and commitment he should have been considered at least till the next World Cup.

Left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha had already lost his place to Ravindra Jadeja in the 30 men’s squad shortlisted for World cup and now Mumbai Indians have also released him.
