Watch: Murali Vijay Left In Awe As MS Dhoni Hits Massive Six In Training 1

Murali Vijay was left in awe after MS Dhoni hit a massive six in training nets during a practice game with the CSK squad in Dubai. MS Dhoni has been looking in sublime touch at nets. The veteran wicket-keeper batsman has not played competitive cricket for over a year now and had retired from international cricket on August 15 this year.

MS Dhoni is the only skipper to win all three ICC trophies. MS Dhoni will however continue to play for CSK leading them in the forthcoming IPL 2020 again. He has been batting well in the nets and would be looking to inspire his side to another title triumph this year. Under him, CSK won IPL in 2010,2011, and 2018.

MS Dhoni Hits A Massive Six Over Long-on Fielder Murali Vijay’s Head During Practice Session

On Thursday, CSK shared a video of Dhoni hitting a massive six during their practice game in Dubai. In the video, Dhoni can be seen timing his shot to perfection as the ball went out of the park straight over Murali Vijay’s head, who can be seen fielding at long-on. CSK team manager Russell Radhakrishnan asks whether the ball is lost while recording the video as a fielder goes to fetch it.

MS Dhoni is known for his helicopter shot and hitting sixes at will against the best attack but retired from international cricket after leading India to victories in the 2007 inaugural T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup which India won after a hiatus of 28 years.

MS Dhoni has scored 4432 runs from 190 IPL matches averaging an awesome 42.20. He is placed 7th in the all-time leading run-scorers list behind the likes of  Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan, and Chris Gayle.

Murali Vijay Replies To Team Manager Regarding The Shot As Gifted Timing, Speed, And Swing Of Bat Of MS Dhoni

Murali Vijay then asks the team manager if he thinks it was all power from MS Dhoni, who is known for his huge sixes.

“Beautiful timing, bat speed, swing it’s gifted. Can’t do much better,” says Vijay as he throws the ball back towards the bowler for the game to resume.

Having announced his international retirement already, MS Dhoni is expected to bat much freely this season for CSK. If he ignites his destructive mode in the forthcoming season, the CSK captain can be a nightmare to face for the opposition bowlers. He was instrumental in helping CSK reach the final last year with 416 runs in 15 matches at an average of 83.20 and a strike rate of 134.62. He had scored 455 runs in 16 matches in 2018 as well.

He will be looking to replicate his batting heroics from last year once again in IPL 2020 and help CSK lift their fourth title after losing out closely by just 1 run against Mumbai Indians in the final last year. CSK will open their IPL 2020 campaign against defending champions Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi on September 19.
