Namma Shivamogga register second win in Karnataka Premier League

Namma Shivamogga beat Bellary Tuskers in the second match of the day of the Karnataka Premier League at Hubli just few moments ago. It was an excellent performance by the new team who had won their first match.

Chasing 160 Namma Shivamogga Kirmani and M Ramesh started off to a good start putting 17 for the first wicket in just 3 over’s. Then Abbas and Ramesh put a quick fire 22 before Abbas was dismissed by Amit Verma. Stuart Binny and Ramesh slowly steadied and put 40 for the third wicket as Binny was dismissed for 29 in 19 balls.

Then two wickets fell to leave Shivamogga at 103 for 5 in 14.4 over’s. Siddarth and AB Sagar took the game away from Bellary Tuskers. Sagar scored a qucikfire 35 off 19 balls while Siddarth scored 22 off 18 balls to help Namma Shivamogga win the match by 5 wickets with 3 balls to spare. Amit Verma was the pick of bowlers picking 2 wickets while Aiyappa, Krishna and Kulkarni picked 1 wicket each.

Namma Shivamogga won the toss and elected to field. Bharat Chipli and Nischal started the Bellary Tuskers off to good start scoring 18 runs in 3 over’s. Bellary Tuskers lost 2 quick wickets to leave Bellary Tuskers in big trouble at 27 for 3. Patil and AA Joshi steadied the innings with 57 runs fourth wicket stand before Patil was dismissed for 34 and then Joshi went for 34.

After that one more wicket fell to leave Bellary Tuskers struggling at 96 for 6. Manjunath and Karthik put 63 runs for the 7th wicket to ensure that Bellary Tuskers reached a competitive total of 159 for 6. Venkatash, Khadir and Gulecha picked 2 wickets each.
