Navdeep Saini, the young talent, has gained his place in T20I against South Africa. After his performance in West Indies soil, the selectors are looking forward to giving him more chances. He made his T20I debut in West Indies soil where he took 5 wickets in 3 T20Is. He was also awarded Player of the Match on his T20I debut. Lance Klusener, the South Africa assistant batting coach, is delighted with the improving performance of Saini.
Klusener has told Times of India that Saini has now become the prominent face of India as a fast bowler. He is pleased to know that he is bowling at the speed of 150 kmph and the best thing he noticed in Saini is that he enjoys his game.
“I am so glad to see Navdeep Saini being recognized. You don’t see many in Indian cricket who can bowl at 150 kmph. While he loves bowling at 150, he knows that this ability doesn’t last forever. So his idea is, just enjoy it as long as you can,” Klusener told TOI.
Navdeep Saini has added a lot of value to Delhi team: Lance Klusener
Lance Klusener was the batting consultant for Delhi Senior team in last white-ball season since then he knows Saini. He noticed that Saini is fit and his action makes the game easier for him.
“He is a great human being and that added a lot of value to our Delhi team last year,” Klusener said.
“I think he has wonderful action which is very clean and smooth. He is superbly fit as well. But while chatting with him, I realized he is hungry to bowl at 150 and above.”
Earlier, the fast Bowler Navdeep Saini was also selected in the squad for Test but was never given chance to play. He has played 43 first-class matches and picked 120 wickets at an economy rate of 2.81. He has also played 41 List A matches and picked 65 wickets.
