Dale Steyn, the South African pace superstar applauded firefighters who saved his Cape Town mountain home from the blazing flames which have inundated one of the country’s most popular tourist spots. Emergency extricate worker said many homes were demolished in the wildfires while one firefighter was wounded as the large fire raged through South Africa‘s marvelous Table Mountain.
According to local media Nearly 3,000 hectares of nation have been demolished, with rescue helicopters dropping water bombs on to the flames as tired fire fighters faced problem to douse the huge blaze, which has been aggravated by temperatures of over 40 degrees. Dale Steyn, said he received many calls warning that houses in Stonehurst would have to be evicted.

He was in Canberra and he left his cellphone on silent that night. He had like 30 missed calls and 80 messages or something like that. Steyn said authorities asked him by what he wanted saved in his house. Dale Steyn replied saying: “What do you want us to take out of your house?’ I’ve never been more scared in my life.” The proteas pacer said he was sitting halfway across the globe, and everything that he has ever earned or gotten in his life, every wicket, every ball, every bit of clothing in his 31 years is in that home. They have got five minutes to take everything out. He was pretty much shitting himself.
Dale Steyn applauded the firefighters for an astounding rescue. He further said that just marvelous job by all those firefighters and the rescue workers that put their lives at risk and never met him before, never met most of the people. Dale Steyn also informed that former teammate Jacques Kallis‘s home was also hit by that inferno.
